The Ark of Yhwh (Arkoy) is a religious congregation that operates a worship system that is built on messianic Judaism. Conceived in the late 2005, the Arkoy came into existence in the early 2006 (02/28/2006).
   It is a group of Cameroonians & Africans's Jews (Bantu & Falasha), and devoted Christians that were converted into messianic Judaism. Convinced of their messianic Jewish faith or identities, they organised themselves into this congregation whereby they are accomplishing their duties and are running their messianic activities.

Sent overseas by his family after his secondary education to continue his training as an Engineer in Electrotechnics and his Football career which he had successfully started in Cameroon uptill the first division, he went to Paris (France) in 1996. Young « Deïdo-boy » is suddenly oriented to London (England) by a friend « Jimmy » of Congolese nationality.

A short story.  On leaving his country, Young EPESSE speaks only Duala and French. He doesn’t speak neither Pidgin (bad English) nor English language which he has to deal with in all aspects. What a funny story!

Young, naïve and unconscious of the « divine plan » for him, he goes to reside in one Community in London, where according to him is inhabited by some “bizarre people” by their hair style (over-grown bear and hair), dressing and culture; this is the Jewish Community in London.
Sharing the same neighbourhood, and carrying on between his studies, small jobs and sport (football) for four years, he came to know these people partially in history, tradition and religion; « The people and heritage of the Eternal father Adonai, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. ».This is his encounter with the Orthodox and Messianic Judaism.

Informed by a sudden phone call from Africa, of the sudden death of his elder brother (second brother dying the same manner), he is forced to look for a source of protection (God). He is faced with friends who for many years had been initiated into European and Asian initiatic schools. Their propositions to him are flattering on the one hand; and on the other hand, God, naturally, the faith of his family.

Sometime later, while undergoing observation and negociating a professional contract with the second team of Newcastle United (premiership in England), the Captain, triple best goal scorer and best foreign player of the Amateur football championship in London (Corinthians’ league), suffers from a mysterious knee injury (whose origin is not known), and for months and years challenges some very good British sports Doctors and more than five sessions of Chinese acupunctures and follow-up in diagnostics and in treatment to no good.

Luckily for him the sprain is diagnosed right from Africa, declaring that is suffering from a magic spell coming from Africa.
What a mystery and ill-luck!

Ten months later, while he is separated from the sporting world for a medical follow-up, with great regrets by his managers, he suffers another powerful attack, a serious throat infection. This is a total K.O! Nothing passes through his throat; neither saliva, water, medicine nor worst still food.

After suffering for five good days and being quite sick, he goes to meet a Jewish Leader « Rabbi Yitsaq »
Warmly received, the latter assists him to heal his throat due to prayers and consecrated «Olive Oil». He instantly relieved by this spiritual assistance and the Rabbi talks to him deeply about himself, his family in Africa, the problems they face and all the traumatising situations he is facing. All Rabbi said happened to be true. The Rabbi continued with these words « You are a chosen one of the eternal Father Adonai; a time will come when you will serve him the same as I am now doing. It is not by chance that you came to this nation and this neighbourhood. It is the hand of God that directed you for your training. Your life is in danger and only God can save you and guarantee your future »

With certain research guides on the Torah offered to him by Rabbi Yits’haq, the research on the treasure is started.

Some months later (in the year 2000), Young EPESSE decides to visit his dear family in Africa, treat his knee and his throat problems in order to continue with his sporting activities.
While in Cameroon, he makes an encounter with a Nigerian messianic community which uses the Torah. After a period of adherence and collaboration, the revelations he was given in London by Rabbi Yits’haq are repeated to him on three different occasions by three ministers of that community.

In 2001, Young Epesse returns to Europe. Organised by his sporting manager, he is solicited in Germany (Frakfort) in a professional football team. During his stay in the European Economic Capital, the mysterious phenomena which struck him in London, resurfaced in his life.

His stay in Germany which had stated very well, gets complicated. The ambiance in the team changes, the contract delays to be concretised, the knee injury which had been treated in Africa reappears. It is a great puzzlement on the part of the mates and trainers who were very happy to have amongst them an origin of the « Great Lion, Albert Roger Milla » (Cameroon). A complete K.O.
Sport is once more halted due to these ills. And as was the case in London, challenges all the sports Doctors of this Club.

Without a major activity in Frankfort, he is guided by the Holy Spirit in one of his strolls to a Jewish Organisation in the area; his religious activities are restarted.

One good evening, about the end of month of September 2000, while the world still shocks on the events of the September 11; the bombing of the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York, as usual Young Epesse is alone in his apartment, praying and meditating. Suddenly, he feels accompanied. He feels the presence of somebody or something more powerful than himself. This presence speaks to him in the spirit and says: « You are called to restore your people from spiritual servitude and the time has come. »

This spiritual meeting happens sometimes again until he decides to return to Africa instead of London where he was really resident.

Upon arriving Africa he begins his spiritual desert walk (training into hardship) wich he had already started in Germany.
For a long time, God keeps him in this spiritual desert in collaboration with all Jewish Congregations he knew, especially with the Nigerian Messianic Community that is in place.

Some years passed and the fruit got ripe; as ordered by God’s spirit through few Ministers, Young Epesse is ordained a Messianic Elder (Bishop).
The spirit which had guided him ever since in Europe would not leave him. It accompanies him during all this time in his training and welbeing. Spiritual training multiply and other instructions are giving to him in this manner «Young Epesse, stand up, the time for your mission has come. The time for restoring your people has come. There are so many lost sheep from the house of Abraham; Isaac and Israel amongst your people; you have as mission to regroup them; and this will be done only with the Torah (law, instruction or teaching). Have no fear, be courageous, I will be with you to guide you and direct you. »

Just like others who had been called by God, he is filled with doubt, a great atmosphere of uncertainty and illusions animates him. He succumbs to a serious internal fight: these spiritual directives and his personal ambitions.

Being unsettled for this assignment, Young Epesse decides to run away back to Great Britain.
Faced with many problems to get a flight for the UK, he has to face his own very self:
* Who are my for such an assignment?
* What do I know about God, his Bible and his words?
* How do I explain my family about the sudden change from a student in Electronic Engineering and a professional footballer to a servant of The Heavenly Adonai?

« Can one say no when God says yes, and say yes when God says no?
Isn't the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end? »
* Is there anything that is impossible to God? Isn’t the God of Jonas and the God of all mysteries?

Under the control, direction, instruction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, being physically in Cameroon, while his heart is in the European Capitalism, The Ark of Yahweh (The Universal Messianic Congregation is born in February 2006.

Today, Young Epesse is based back home in Cameroon, has abandoned his European family (in general) and all fruits of his labour during the years he stayed there.

By the grace and blessing of God, EPESSE is in his 7th years in the Judeo-Messianic Theology; Talmid (student) in the Theology School « Soucat David » of Israel. He's also the Founder and Leader of The Ark of Yahweh (The Arkoy - The Universal Messianic Congregation) that, since 2006, operates in the Biblical; Humanitarian and Social domains, having of course as main objective the restoration of the Torah (law, Biblical teachings) which has been abandoned for several millennia to the detriment of Human Cultures.

ARKOY

LOCATION

The Ark of Yhwh is located in the middle of the ancient Egypt (Isaiah 19:19) known in these days as Africa. She is precisely found in the Central African region in a nation named Rio Dos Camaroes, Kamerun, Cameroon or Cameroun.
Cameroon is a small nation with a total surface area of 475 422 Km2 divided into ten (10) regions with lots of Opportunities. Moreover, she is also called Africa in Miniature in relation to her nature that is characterised by her great diversity in culture, animal, vegetation, mineral and especially by her sufficiency in food.The population of Cameroon is about 20 million inhabitants, with about 270 languages that draw their origin in the whole of the African continent.

With her two (2) yearly seasons, the dry (6/12) & rainy (6/12) in terms of weather, Rio dos Camaroes offers one of the most beautiful touristic sites of the African continent mastered by the green colour of her big vegetation that hides her rich diversity in Animals of all nature (aquatic, earthly & aerial) and her mineral riches.

After the German language half century ago, English & French are the national languages as to unite all the 20 million Kamerunians in terms of communication.

BUEA

South-West region and former Cameroonian capital in the German epoque, is the land of the revelation, the root and the spiritual headquarters of the Ark of Yhwh.

DUALA

Littoral region and economic capital of Kamerun. It is the land of occupation of the Cameroonian's Jews (Sawa -Duala) that came from the ancient Egypt (Bantu) through the Congo's empire (Bakota). It is equale the Ark of Yhwh' heart and the land that welcome her first synagogue.

NB. The coming into existence of this spiritual Jewish congregation (Romans 2:25–29 & Romans 2:17–20) in this part of the world (middle of Egypt), especially in this land of Kamerun is a clear testimony and the fulfillment of the words of the prophets of millennia ago. Isaiah 19:18–25 and Zechariah 8:20–23.

LOGO

As her name indicates, the Ark of Yhwh’s Logo is an Ark moving upon water in which the star of David (magen David) is engraved, carrying a candle stand (menorah) and a Dove holding a freshly-picked olive tree branch.

This set takes us back to the history of creation, precisely Genesis chapter 6, 7, 8, & 9 that is the flood, Noah and the ark.
-  Water stands for the race.
- The ark stands for salvation.
- The star of David stands for the “lost sheep” of Israel (children of God)
- The candle stand stands for the Judeo Christian' faith.
- The dove stands for shalom (peace).
- The fresh olive branch stands for hope.

Therefore, the Ark of Yhwh (Arkoy) is one of the path of salvation that Yeshua HaMashiak (Jesus the Messiah) brought to mankind through messianic Judaism faith, that preaches shalom (peace) and builds up hope. John 4:22.

As the Ark is in the move, it is out there to gather along the “children of God” of the land of the Ancient Egypt (Africa), starting from Cameroon to the four (4) corners of the universe, ending in the “promise land”, the most beautiful of all lands, the land of “milk & honey (Ezekiel 20:15), “the holy city (Revelation 21:2)” the new Jerusalem”

CLOTHING

As a symbol of peace, the Ark of Yhwh (Arkoy) has adopted the heavenly colours for her flag (Blue-sky).

Wearing uniforms is a choice that the Arkoy made, having as model the Patriarchs and the style of the Eternal Father's people mentioned by Apostle John (Revelations 7:9), and especially due to lack of decence of this epoque.

The Arkoy uses:
A- The Ganduras (African long robes) of various colours, with trousers underneath.
B- The Kippas (the small priestly hat)
C- And the Tallits  according to the scriptures. Numbers 15:38-40

GATHERING DAYS

-Tuesdays (sunset 6:00 p.m – 8:00 pm). We gather for the mid-week service (Bible study and prayers).
-Some Thursdays (11:00 p.m. – 01:00 am). We gather for the midnight prayers.

THE SABBAT DAY: Exodus 20:8; Deuteronomy 5:12).
(SATURDAYS: Mathew 28:1; Mark 16:1-2).

We gather at this time on each Friday for the opening of the Sabbath, the Bible's study and the sharing of the Sabbath's meal (Kiddush) day.  Leviticus 23:32

We carry out the sabbath's school according to our associations. It is time we study the three quotations given weekly, one of the torah, one of the prophets and one of the apostles
